Tips and advice
Pregnancy and lifestyle
Light physical activity is beneficial (walks), but do not overestimate your strength, rest more often. Sleep at night, ideally 8-10 hours, eat a balanced diet, eat more often (5-6 times a day), in smaller portions, never starve yourself, but don't overeat (don't eat for two).
Pregnancy and travel
Consult your gynaecologist about the suitability of longer trips and travel arrangements. Do not go on long trips in the last trimester of your pregnancy. When travelling by plane for many hours, don't sit in one position for long periods - walk around frequently. Make sure you have good insurance.
Pregnancy and sport
Isometric exercises, pregnancy yoga and swimming are suitable (beware of water quality in public pools). All contact sports or high-impact sports (aerobics, off-road cycling, horse riding, ...) are not suitable.
Pregnancy and hygiene
Maintain good hygiene of the vaginal entrance and rectal area, especially after a bowel movement. The penetration of intestinal bacteria into the vagina can put your pregnancy at risk. Take showers instead of a bath. Do not use overly hot water on your tummy area.
Pregnancy and coffee
If you're used to coffee, there's no point in giving it up completely. However, we recommend limiting your intake, especially in the last trimester of pregnancy.
A correctly treated patient is our mission and our goal. This goal can only be achieved with high standards in personnel and equipment. The client and her needs, problems and wishes are a top priority for the GYNET team.
What's the clinic like?
A beautiful environment; wonderful, friendly nurses, the whole staff. When you make an appointment, you never wait long. Dr. Hynek Kudělka is a wonderful doctor, professional, with a courteous approach; he always helped, I can rely on him, I would never change. I have complete confidence in him! 🔝 I would definitely recommend the clinic. They will always help you here. 🍀More
I accompanied my girlfriend to her ultrasound at 21 weeks and was completely satisfied! After a bad experience at the University Hospital in Olomouc (UHO), where we were included in a risk group for Down’s syndrome based on one small thing and urged to undergo an invasive amniocentesis, we got tested here at GYNET again at the recommendation of our friends. Dr. Matura was great; a sympathetic doctor who clearly understands his field. Compared to UHO, he examined everything in more detail, measured and reassured us that we are not in a risk group. We would definitely recommend GYNET.More
